Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you and deliver our services:

• Contact form: name, business name, email, phone number, service of interest, and the message you send us.
• WhatsApp conversations: when you message us through WhatsApp, the message content and your phone number flow through Meta's WhatsApp Business Cloud API and are stored in our database (Supabase) so we can reply and keep a record of our conversation.
• Language preference: stored locally in your browser (localStorage key "atg-lang") so the site remembers whether you prefer English or Spanish. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically receives basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, as part of normal web traffic.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Reply to your inquiries and provide quotes.
• Deliver the services you hire us for.
• Send transactional or service-related messages (for example, project updates or invoices).
• Maintain a record of our conversation history with you.
• Improve and secure the website.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the service providers we rely on to run our business:

• Vercel — website hosting and basic traffic logs (https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy).
• Supabase — secure database where contact form messages and WhatsApp conversation logs are stored (https://supabase.com/privacy).
• Anthropic — provider of the Claude AI model that helps draft WhatsApp replies (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy).
• Meta Platforms — provider of the WhatsApp Business Cloud API (https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy and https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy).
• Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, for anonymized traffic and audience measurement (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
• Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity, for privacy-conscious session replay and behavior analytics (https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement).

4. Analytics and session insights

To understand how visitors use the site and to improve it, we use two analytics tools. Neither is used for advertising, profiling, retargeting, or selling your data.

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TFL96NM1WG) — measures aggregate traffic such as page views, referring sites, country, device type, and how long visitors stay. We run GA4 with IP anonymization enabled, Google Signals disabled, and ad personalization disabled, so the data we receive is aggregated and is not used to build advertising profiles about you.
• Microsoft Clarity (project ID wtrhcy1pz1) — records anonymized session replays (mouse movement, clicks, scrolls, page navigation) and generates heatmaps so we can see where the site is confusing. Clarity is configured with strict masking, which hides what you type into forms and other sensitive input from the recording by default. Clarity may set cookies on your browser; per Microsoft, this data is used only to provide the analytics service and is not sold.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by using a tracker-blocking extension. You can opt out of Microsoft Clarity by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser, using a tracker-blocking extension, or by following the controls described in Microsoft's privacy statement linked above. Most modern browsers (Brave, Firefox in strict mode, Safari) block these tools automatically.

5. Data retention

We keep contact form submissions and WhatsApp conversation logs for as long as we have an active or potential client relationship with you, and up to 24 months afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Google Analytics retains user-level event data for 14 months and then deletes it automatically. Microsoft Clarity retains session recordings for up to 30 days under our current configuration. We may keep certain records longer when required by law (for example, tax records).

6. Your rights — GDPR (if you are in the European Economic Area or the UK)

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, email info@artechgarage.com. Some data may be transferred to the United States; where required, our service providers use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

7. Your rights — CCPA / CPRA (if you are a California resident)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
• Request a copy or deletion of that information.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — note that we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

8. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

9. Security

We use reputable providers (Vercel, Supabase) that offer encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.

10. International transfers

Our servers and service providers are primarily based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. under the safeguards described above.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest version. We encourage you to review it periodically.
